  On the second night: Light straw color in the glass. Nose of sawdust and hibiscus. Palate of pineapple and grapefruit.
  
  Tasted better the first night but was still very good the second. This wine has a few more years to improve I think. Drink now or hold.

  Popped and poured. This bottle just continues to dazzle me with its unique new world expression of white rhone varietals. Ever so honeyed in appearance, this yellow beauty is filled with ripe peaches, honeysuckle, pineapple, and apricots all wrapped in a smoky mineral cocoon. For me, the finest domestic example of a luscious white rhone. 94pts.

  Absolutely the finest sulphur I've ever had the pleasure to taste. Some residual floral aromas lurked behind the matchsticks and a hint of fire-roasted lychee nuts occasionally surprised the palate.

  Popped and poured. An absolute stunner! This bottle of white has now joined the 2009 Cameron Clos Electrique as the best domestic white I've ever had. I have often had a difficult time with rhone whites as, for me, they seem to never possess the racy and mineral quality I adore. This wine didn't overwhelm with those either, but was so unique and distinctive that I was literally caught off-guard by its complexity and concentrated flavors.
  
  Just a shade lighter than liquid gold with initial aromas of ripe orchard fruits - think peaches and apricots. Some elements of smoky minerals and orange blossoms continue the aromatic onslaught. Thick and oily (texture wise) on entry, but then mischievously lightens up in the mid-palate revealing more orchard fruits, some candied ginger, citrus zest, and slight tangy cut. The completeness of the finish with its lingering of vibrant citrus and smoky peach leave you wishing Reynvaan made more than 40 cases of this liquid Valhalla. 94 pts.
