Grade: G+. Screw top. Deep purple, slightly murky in the glass, nose of stewed fruit, menthol and oak. After about an hour: medium to light body, jammy black-berries, some sour-cherries, noticeable oak, slight acidity, low tannins, un-focussed and not much structure. Drinking much better 4 days later with the cap on. Seems like it needed some acidity to lift it.
My Grades: EXX-Exceptional, EX-Excellent, VG-Very Good, G-Good, O-Ordinary, P-Poor, U-Ungraded

2013 Saratoga Wine Walk (Saratoga): dark red in color. dark fruit, earth, spice, on the nose. blackberry, earth, black currant, pepper, oak, tar, on the palate. medium acid, medium tannins, on the finish.

Another vintage, another winner. Brambly berry and green nose; rambunctious blackberry (yes, I used "rambunctious", take that Bobby P.!), cherry fruit, but only light to medium bodied. But at this price point, that's more than expected. Give this to the masses.

Nice wine that would pair well with lightly spiced meats. Didn't go well with the maple glazed ribs that night but still was good. Very solid effort.
