This is a well aged CA cab that truly in it's wheel house. Really 14 years and still some young fruit on the nose, very good up front balance with a bit of astringency that adds to complexity. PNP at a Mexican restaurant and returned home with a third of the bottle to dissect. Might improve with decanting, but I don't believe this will get much better for me.

I’m starting to fade away from Napa Cabs a bit - lot of them even the mid range price ($100 ish) are coming off a bit one dimensional compared to old world wines or cooler climate Pinots. This one drank decent - deep purple, stating to show tiny bit of brick - nose is pleasant dark fruits, stewed plum and a hint of herb. Decent mouthfeel, more dark fruits, oak, high acidity. Tannins are a little rough, not as well integrated as I would like for a 14 year old wine. Overall a pleasant wine to have with a steak but a little lacking.

Still drinking well, but not as impressive as a year ago, maybe peaked and flattening out? Primary fruits a little less pronounced still spice & cedar with some tar & game flavours. I will review end of 2024/early 2025 to check on how it evolves from my perspective.

Wonderfully integrated, with blue and red fruit and some subtle secondary flavors no rush.

Magnificent. A full bodied, mature Napa Cab.
