  • A nice ruby color with a little purple as a highlight... and a light and clear edge...pleasing nose of bright red berries and maybe a little cola and tart cherry. A firm and tasty fruit grip that had a surprisingly good acidic edge that went very well with smoked salmon. Second day...full fruit texture and grip with once more, a nice acidic framework that made this work for me...what a ride for this wine and vintage, as this is the last bottle and a far cry from the first. Wish I had more.

  • Probably past its prime. Nose of soft red fruit and alcohol. Some orange bricking towards the clear rim. Palate of strawberry and rhubarb, some white pepper as noted by others. Acidity and tannins both notable in their absence. Soft, soft, soft. No notes of mushroom, leather, etc, that I had held hopes for when stashing this away a few years back. Frankly, more interesting a few years ago when the fruit was still bright. Nothing now distinctly objectionable, but nothing exciting or particularly interesting. Better for sipping than with food due to its' lack of acidity.

Drink up if you gottem as I see zero upside potential. Purchased on retail release, ideal storage since purchase.

  • Dinner at Tribeca Grill (Tribeca Grill, New York): Huges nose of white pepper, red pepper, red fruits. Round wine with excellent fruit. Red cherries, a touch of raspberries and white pepper. Great, acidic. Wonderful fruit (did I say that already)?

  • Wow...what a change from the last bottle, as that one may have been off, very oooffffff. Light clear color that at first had a little earthy humas like aroma that settled down to a rich fruity red berry quality. One of the few times that the scent and taste of strawberry stood out in a wine for me. Not overwhemingly so, but enough to make it a pleasant change...mild balance and an easy sipper. What a change and a nice surprise.
