Good, balanced Cabernet. Fig, licorice and dark/deep fruit. Tons of sediment left behind in the decanter. Will enjoy my other 2 bottles in the next year. Outperforms the subpar vintage for sure!

“Four Soil Melange” refers to the four vineyards, and the four soil types, from which Sequum Cabernet comes.
The grapes come from Spring Mountain, Rutherford, Stag’s Leap and St. Helena. Aged all in French oak, 50% new. Only 117 cases made.
My notes: First get black cherry, currant, light smoke, licorice and malt. Flavor is plush and very rich. Very nice earthy/floral aromas emerge with the dark plum, blueberry and cocoa flavors. Very ripe, luscious and full flavored. Opens up after 30 minutes and really soars. Most importantly, this wine is delicious.
needs to be laid for a couple of years at least

A very good wine with overall balance. Nice but nothing outstanding to cherish.

Great Steak Wine! Dark and full bodied wine. Tastes of cherry, mocha, vanilla and spice. Decanting will help.
