Tasted after the 2009 Sette Ponti Oreno & the 2012 Antica Terre Botanica Pinot Noir & before the 2009 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon. Not sure what to make of this experience. The wine had little on the nose & the palate was flat, very one dimensional.

A nice bright deep reddish purple. Intensely aromatic, primarily cassis and black cherry – spread from the glass to nearby surroundings, swirling the glass only accentuated this - pretty awesome actually. On the palate very smooth, rich and dreamy, the aforementioned fruit dominates – delicious – but you also get spice, southern herbs and a bit of polished leather. Everything is nicely in balance, a southern Rhone that does not come across as big - deft, the power is handled well. It will go the distance, many years of happiness lie ahead given the fruit is in such fine shape. It finishes with a kick, letting you know it is still a CNdP. My first of the case, owned since EP, a decade in waiting and very pleasing that is in such a good spot with time in hand. A big thumbs up!

Very fine and delicate tasting CdP. Decanted and started drinking it almost right away. It needed more air time. After an hour it was almost open. Then came the delicious red fruit flavors and spice. One the light to medium side, but that is just fine. Really excellent mouthfeel and aftertaste. Very very pure aromas and flavors. Drank over two nights. It tasted better the second night.

Very pretty grenache based CdP. This is not a big flashy wine. It's elegant, refined, understated, and very fine.Nice red fruit plus a bit of graphite. Nice aftertaste. Pure and clean.

Huge big wine, tasting great now with a lovely expressive nose and then a huge initial weight but plenty of fruit/tannins and leather.
