mediocre. Still annoyed the tasting room filled an order with this wine vs. the jaja red that I bought. Jon offered to swap it out, but too much hassle.

Fourth and final bottle, and, thankfully, the best of the bunch. At times, this begins to veer toward the overly simple, low-acid charmless mass of whites that are so popular these days, but it avoids that thanks to a subtly mineral spine and very clean, personable fruit. Not outstanding or even very good, but a good wine for sipping on a warm afternoon with friends. Medium-bodied, low-ish acids. None of the wateriness of prior bottles, just a typical M-B signature, which is to say, enjoyable. 13,4% abv, drink thru 2015
PnP, served non-blind. More full as it warms and opens.

(Maison Bleue Jaja White Wine Columbia Valley) An aromatic tour de force with complex aromas of grapefruit peel, tangerine, pear, star fruit, cantaloupe, mineral, and citrus. The palate is medium bodied, dry, textured, and fresh with abundant mineral flavors and a grapefruit pith finish. A thoroughly delicious wine – truly the perfect summer wine - that screams out for food but also stands up on its own. 50% Marsanne, 23% Roussanne, 18% Grenache Blanc, 9% Picpoul Blanc. Boushey and Dutchman (Roussanne) vineyards. Co-fermented in three year old French barrels (50%) and stainless steel. 13.4% alcohol. 311 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.

Light bodied and refreshing, with a nose of muskmelon, sweet apple and lemon water. Quaffable with good acidity.
