Decanted for two hours in the afternoon, poured over dinner. 13% ABV. Medium to dark garnet red. Violets, red and dark fruit, cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, plum, red pepper, earth, light chocolate, light espresso, and spices, with medium-level acidity, and good length of the woody finish. Medium-bodied and light on its feet, only the woodiness and the light roughness of the tannin are off at this point. I would allow the wine another three years in the cellar to better digest the oak and further soften the tannin, and then drink it over the medium-term. 89(+)(?)

popped and poured from a half, I think a short decant would have helped - lots of dark fruits, this is drinking nicely but should improve with a little more time

Revisiting this bottle after a few days of being open. It hasn’t really changed much over that time. I have had different impressions with the three bottles I have opened. I am not loving this one. A little too much chocolatey oak. There is a fair amount of dark fruit, some herbal notes. Hopefully this can get to a better place with a few more years.

Muss aktuell auf jeden Fall dekantiert werden, hat noch reichlich potential - etwas Leder, minimal stallig/gut allgemeinverträglich, für Bordeaux erstaunliche Würze, überraschend komplex

4 hours slow ox. The strong red cherries that dominated upon opening have dissipated, and while approachable it's still extraordinarily dry and tannic given the age and air.
Smoke, crushed stones, graphite are most prominent. While this was our last bottle, there's clearly still quite a few years of life remaining.
50/50 Cab/Merlot
