2 hour decant. Too much oak with some cherry. Lacks complexity and character. Family sampled many wines Easter Sunday. This one was a disappointment especially @ $40. WS scored 90pts ? They missed.

This is good, especially after a three hour decant. Quite a fun nose, with the usual blackcurrant joined by some sweet candied cherry and vanilla. Full-bodied with a few tannins which need another couple of years to fully resolve, but plenty of ripe cassis flavours and a staisfyingly long finish. It does lack a little class but at the price paid, no complaints.

I think 2012 turned out to be a slightly acid vintage. It’s a bit prominent here but otherwise this is very Pauillac, black currants, cedar oak.
Not the greatest vintage. Nor especially characterful. And perhaps never charming. But this wine certainly delivers what you’d hope for in an expensive (but far from crazy expensive) bottle of 10 year old Bordeaux. Indeed it’s almost good value.
13%, cork.

Dark almost black in color. Straight forward classic Bordeaux with lovely balanced dark fruit, a bit of led pencil, some herbal notes and a cinnamon dusting. Medium body and medium finish. I like this one.
