Opened with roasted chicken. A bit of a stink to it that goes with a strawberry aroma. The taste is pretty juicy with more of a light cherry taste. This really didn't do too much for me.

Popped and poured. Aroma hits with strawberry right off the bat, but there is also some sort of creaminess in there. The first glass had a good deal of creaminess and some funk, but that went away quick. Subsequent glasses were strong with the strawberry and even some lemon. Although the acidity keeps going on the finish, there seems to be something lacking here to make it a higher score.

So for those of you following the Leelanau Peninsula vintage charts, 2012 was a hot year. And it shows here. The 2011 rosé was a zippy acid citrus happy. This is more round, dark, earth, with a bit too much residual sugar for my taste. Just OK.
