First of the wines tonight. Not one of the wines I would "Goto". Spicy notes on the nose and even spicier on the palette. Minced meat is the best note I keep coming back to. Seemed quite acidic and unbalanced. Finish was medium length with lingering flavors of sour berries and dry pie crust.

Day 3 drinking. Half bottle was vacuumized in the frigde.
Eye: Dark red with brown rims, slow legs. Nose: Medium(+) intensity, mainly Syrah now. Meaty, spicy, cassis, earthy & mineral notes. Already fading but still very good. 12/15p. Palate: Medium(+) intensity, a little heat now from the 15% alc., medium(+)acidity (more than on day 1), spicy, berry notes. Already fading compared to day 1 but still very good. 12/15p. Balance/Body: Medium balanced, a little off balance now as the acidity comes in stronger, strong body. 7/10p. Finish: Medium finish, medium(+) dry, adstringent, fruity. 7/10p. Conclusion: Very good, best drinking on day 1. Open bottle for 30 mins before drinking. Has everything to hold up for some years I guess. (50+)12+12+7+7 = 88/100p.

Has the potential to become one of my standard wines. I should always have one of this at home. See previous notes. Perfect buy below 9€/12USD, really really great qpr!

Good QPR. Earth on the nose, red berries and pepper on the palate. Soft and pleasant tannins.

Good volume, soft, fruity, but one dimensional and lacking character. Good everyday wine.
