  • Simple and a bit on the thin side, showing bright red fruit with a hint of toast and noticeable acidity in the background. Very drinkable for $8 as an everyday value wine, or perhaps to serve a large group, but it certainly doesn't rise above those levels of expectation.

  • Well, what I guess was expecting for low entry level price and marketing on label - decent experience and serviceable for young crowd getting into vino AND summer, with BBQ fare. Serve this a touch cool. Maybe will mature in a couple of years in bottle, but comes a little "immature" right now.

So this is an unoaked Tempranillo - vastly different experience than the the last producer i sampled. The nose is a little candied the dark juicy blackberry/gum. Palate is rich with this fruit quality, decent acid and very light and dismissive tannin. Other than the qualities on nose, don't get a lot more. Quaffer without doubt, and marketed to that crowd and will likely appeal if folks catch on.
