  This was brought to a restaurant with us to have with dinner, where it was opened and let to breathe for an hour before enjoying over about 3 hours. The restaurant was dim, but this appeared to have a dark color nearly all the way to the rim. Subtlely pleasant aromatics of plumb pudding and dusted black cherries. The tannins are already pretty resolved, and the fruit is neither hiding nor overbearing. Somewhat feminine with just a touch of heat on the back-end. Paired nicely with the veal ravioli and veal parmigiana dishes we had it with. Can't see too much upside in holding onto these much longer.

  This was a big disappointment. Very unbalanced, got some fruit up front and then a lot of alcohol on the finish. Served with filet so the pairing should have been good. For the price, I'd say this is a major pass.
