Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 86 points

  • Unmistakeable Tokaju Aszú scent with strong light caramel and citrus notes. Surprisingly thin entry opens up, gains fat and sweetness though to the mid-palate; alas the taste through to the finish is not quite pure (petrol; odd volatile shades of gloss paint). Only the vibrant balancing acidity keeps this (just) in the "very good" category. 85P. 2nd day: nasty chemical volatile notes less dominant - the underlying quality more evident. 86(-87)P
