Free So2 makes the nose unpleasant. Soapy and floral in the mouth and the SO2 is irritating. Needs to be decanted, as it is undrinkable right out of the bottle.

Well kick me in the head and call me Charlie – not literally please – I’ve tasted a couple of 2012 Rieslings already and for a hot vintage they have surprisingly high acidity … longevity might be their downfall (as is the case with 2007 versions), but only time will tell that. This offering is from Tawse and is downright mouth-puckering: lemon-lime leads the charge with a peach softness and good minerality … that acidity is spot on with freshness and there’s a beautiful green apple-like tart finish. Put simply it’s exciting for Riesling fans to see Riesling like this out of such a hot vintage.

Very pale gold. A wine of great verve. Bright lemony with mineral and salty salivating finish. A decidedly steely interpretation. Young and tasting better on day 2. 10.5% alcohol. Bravo!

Still quite primary!
Lime, apricots, minerality on the nose
Palate is slightly off dry
Medium+ body with quite a bit of dry extract
Excellent length

I'm not much of a white wine consumer, but this was a nice wine with lots of minerality and good acidity. Dry without any hint of sweetness.
