  • Agree with the Som. Very smooth wine to drink right after opening. A little metallic at first but then turned out to be a great bottle. Will buy again.

  • Not as intense and distinct as the Carmenere' I tried yesterday, this is still a very refined and tasty drink for the price. The color is dark purple. The nose has that distinctive to Chile hemlock/evergreen aroma with black fruit in the background. The palate is smooth, so smooth, I have concluded they must have filtered out some of the good stuff to make this wine so clean. Once you get past the evergreen, and forgive them for filtering, there is a lively blackberry and black cherry fruit that could score higher if not so "cleaned up" Some air in the glass breaks down those hemlock flavors, allowing some soft , sweet red fruit to influence the palate. Very nice tannins and balanced oak for a wine so young. Some buttered blueberry on the roof of the mouth during the finish. I'm somewhat confused, as this is one of the most intriguing wines I have reviewed and scored at 85, meaning but another bottle and decant overnight.
