A gift from Vance. Dark purple. Some wood toast, ripe fruit, low acidity, some harsh (oak? ) tannin. Better with the grilled flank steak than alone. Couldn't really tell this was from Tempranillo, more New World and anonymous.

Makes the mistake of using harsh tanins as a route to complexity. Even after it was open for a long time, the pleasant roundness of the tempranillo grape was masked. Grossly overpriced (much better temp. from CA at half the price).

Still holding up very well. Well balanced with cherries and plums. Very satisfying and lasted several nights.
