Young! Impressive substance, all well balanced. Lively acids, at once expansive and piercing. Judicious oak. Brawny finish. A complete wine, which should age gracefully for no less than another five to seven years.

This wine was not what I expected from a Meursault. I would characterize its flavor profile as more like a Montrachet with oak and cream. There was minimal minerality. The wine was enjoyable and well made but not what I expected.

Prince Saturday tasting - Girardin (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Aromas of cream, butter, toasted notes, spice; almost cake spice, and stone fruit salad. In the mouth the wine has flavours of cream, butter and subdued fruit, it's quite rich and has some tongue coating phenolics that, as they resolve, reveal the fruit beginning to come to the fore. Nice.
