A private lunch (Restaurant Yamazato *, Amsterdam, NL): A limited production from only 2 hectares on this 90 hectare domain, planted with 60% Sémillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc, aged for 12 months in barrique. Not nearly as oaky as the 2011 and with a better balance with the fruit and acidity, has a lovely airy feel to it, with a silky texture, almost saline minerality and real harmony, discreet flavours but good length.

The Union Des Grand Crus Tasting of the 2012 Vintage-SF. Nose of raspberry, touch of cigar box, and dusty earth, more of the same on the palate, slightly disappointing compared to the nose, touch simple, medium body, and medium/long finish.
