Wow, tasted again less than 6 months ago and this has already improved. Decanted for roughly 2 hrs. Incredible progression and evolution - wonderful flavors and aromas sweet black cherry and floral nose with a touch of smoke and cured meat. Impeccably balanced with fine tannin, excellent length. Can drink now, but recommend a decant.

Excellent. Deep and dark on opening. Decanted, which helped to open up. Lovely balance between rustic yet fine, challenging yet delicious, remarkable wine. Will definitely Improve [for a long time] yet still great already

Le Cerisiers in Tournon. Splendid bottle, decanted for 1+hours before drinking with dinner. Wild wild nose of bouquets of flowers, cherries, strawberries, just a little funk, tapenade. Mid weight palate with very good energy, more red fruit depth, long engaging finish, well balanced. Just got better as we drank and ate, great with lamb and quail. I loved this bottle. Thinking about recent ‘12 Chave Hermitage and Allemand Reynard, I see this wine as a fine kin to those. Not necessarily in terms of flavor profile, but definitely in balance, grace, and food friendliness.

Monkey Bar, US Open weekend. Extremely enjoyable, classic Cornas notes but almost Burgundian. Great with pork chip w bacon and prime sauce.

Beautiful however still fine tannin even after 3 hours. Could do with a bit more time. I dont think I would have picked it as Syrah
