This is drinking fairly well. However, the wine is falling. Who would put a wine at this rather low level through a Venturi? The LAST thing this wine needs is extra air. Pop it, pour it, drink it and enjoy. It's tasty and quite pure. Sadly 2007 was a rather poor year or Oregon Pinot. And, wines in the sub 20 dollar price point show that. However, this drinks well and makes for good cocktail wine. If you have one in your cellar, open and enjoy now. Otherwise, avoid unless you see it priced around 15 bucks.

Poured through the Venturi - fairly translucent not quite red/not quite amber color. Initial smell of sour cherries and pepper opened up to a more cherry cola and spice scent with a slight hint of strawberry. Tastes like slightly sour cherries, rhubarb, and a little dust with a bit of spice at the back. Medium mouthfeel and kind of short tannins. Not a bad wine but not one I feel a need to run out and buy more of. I'd rather drink the Pappas Wine Co. Pinot Noir for about the same price point.

It benefited from being opened, and was better the second night than the first, but this should probably sit another year.
