  • With thanks to my friend, who bought it from a restaurant in Japan. Aroma is very reserved! you need to sniff hard to get the aroma. Red fruits, white pepper, white flower, green pepper and mocha. The aroma is so young, even a little bit lime and lemon in this red wine. High acidity. Tannin is integrated within the wine. it has more power than the 97 HJ Echezeaux we had few hours ago during lunch.

After 1 hours, more mint, some date, it became more green, not that ripen.

we think the wine is not "on", so we saved it in a sealed Zalto glass, and next day morning, it has high acidity, more concentration compare to last night. Still very RESERVED aroma of led berries, strawberries, wet floor, rust, mushroom. It has more layer and heavier on palate compare to the 97 Echezeaux. More structure and power. There is still enough tannin.

  • Served from glass. Soil, dark fruit, a fair amount of sharp fruit aroma, mostly darker, even slightly dirty. Lots of small pieces of sediments. On the palate good layers, even precise, if far from the Jayer ethereal and weightless characters. 92-94

  • Jayer dinner. Flight with 80 Jayer Murgers, 85 Jayer Murgers, 82 Jayer Echezeaux and 85 Jayer Echezeaux.

Hard to place the issue, but also slightly off. Not particularly pleasurable.

  • Tested along with

1998 Richebourg : Meo Camuzet 94/100...This is very good, I like it very much.

2000 Richebourg : Leroy 96/100...My WOTN, Great wine indeed !!!
2003 Richebourg : DRC 97/100...It's too good for me.
2003 Richebourg : Anne Gros 93/100...Also very good but shouldn't bring it to drink today.

For Jayer, my dream wine, It's very very good but I expect more and it comes from a same vineyard of Meo Camuzet, I can feel.

Same way of Meo's smell but more detail, more concentrate, dense in texture, classic old style with a very long aftertaste.

IMO, I prefer Cros Parantoux 1993 and Echezeaux 1993.

Thanks to my group. Without you, my dream will never come true.

    Drink now - 2030+.............97-98/100................
