I day out of 2010 and it has seen much better days! Loaded with solids and a clear over the hill nuance. Still some fruit on the front palate, but the finish had a strong funky character to it. Last one. . . . Good!

Drank this along side a 1997 Barrelli Creek and was more impressed with this wine. Give the Barrelli Creek 88 pts. Great nose of dried current and cherry, tobacco, spice. The palate was still well balanced and had nice structure. Drink soon.

Enjoyed last night with good CT wine buddy neighborbill during a few spirited rounds of pool. I am amazed at this wine - this is basically a tier above an entry level Sonoma cab and it was drinking GREAT, I was utterly impressed at where this wine currently is. I doubt that this is going to get any better although there are still tannins and fruit left for some further cellaring and I seriously doubt the wine was this good on release. A great QPR wine when you look at the original price. Still ver dark and youthful appearing, minimal bricking on periphery, very smooth, very well balanced, surprising complexity, a reasonable aftertaste. Nose of dark cherry and cola, primary flavors included blackberry, blueberry, cassis and a hint of sour cherry or spice developing later on the palate. Definitely recommend this wine if you can find it but would also recommend considering drinking up holdings soon.

Wow. What a pleasant surprise. A bit of excess sulphur dioxie upon open that blew off pretty quickly. This wine was drinking great and seemed to actually gain coomplexity versus some of the others. A hint of minerality and additional compexity versus other bottles. Great firm fruit, spice, and mellowed tannins. Quite good. Several years left amazingly enough.

Mature and nicely soft with bright fruit, but not overly complex. Tannins have settled out. Better with air. 88+?
Night 2 Upgrade: Nice acidity and balance. Structure held up, nice dark fruit and acidity in a balanced Sonoma kind of way with some age. 90ish.
