Somewhat unremarkable though does improve noticeably over couple of days. Strong iron, gamely and aged qualities. Improves again with being open, than fades. Had open three nights in bottle with cork. 3rd night best so far. *4th night has gotten more complex. Cherries has come out.

(Naddef Gevrey-Chambertin 1er "Les Cazetiers") Upon opening little on the nose less some vanilla oak, meat character and some slight floral elements and an intense mineral character. You can tell just by smelling this that it will be explosive on the palate. Juicy and very ripe with brilliant acidity and a highly detailed midpalate and finish. Really incredible finish. Just keeps going. Tannins are there but perfectly ripe. Really a revelation as all I have had is this producers excellent Marsannays.

1999 Red Burgundy Tasting: Tasting, brief note. Earthy, funky in a way that was either somewhat corked or showing way too much Brett.
