Past its prime but still drinkable. Thankfully the overwhelming oak that most mentioned is actually softened and seems to be more integrated. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry. It tastes like cranberry, grapefruit, dust and stoniness. The body is medium. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Garnet red. Nose was quite complex, and lighter elegant nose with white floral and perfume notes. Light bodied with crisp and low to moderate acidity. Cherries filled the moderate to short finish. Honestly this was a little too light on the body, all that carried through was the cherry acidity. Drink now.

Oh dear, this is dreadful stuff. What's in here with the Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah? Really overworked, in all senses. Washed down some salmon, but it did so brutishly. Nothing elegant about this, just oak, EtOH, some more oak and very ripe, dense and soulless fruit. No doubt this hits the sweet spot for some, but to my palate, this borders on tragic for the variety, and certainly does no favors for the appellation.
Aerated to decanter 1 hour, served non-blind. Absolutely requires a serving temp < 65F; under 60F made it tolerable.

Seems ripe and big and the oak is painted on, rather than integrated. Popular with the peeps, but not my cuppa, if you know what I mean.

Eye: light purple/red with a pinkish rim, clear core
Nose: Cherries, strawberries and slight mushroom
Palate: Cherries with an earthiness. Low acidity and alcohol with a short-medium finish.
Assesment: A nice easy drinking Sonoma Pinot Noir. Nothing to rave about but certainly a wine to enjoy with friends.
