Cherry red, youthful, soft rim. Deep cherry, red berries, sherbet, forest floor earthiness. A very well made wine, still has great structure, not overly firm, but crisp and long. Fruits have evolved to mature and earthy notes, but fruit still dominates. Has a silky quality, refined, but rich. Impressive. Has time ahead of it for sure.

Takes a bit of time to open up in the glass but the aromas are great, classic Vosne spices; sage, dill, peppercorn, cedar with vital but classy red fruits, rose petal. Very fine tannins, hallmark spicy texture and in no need to drink up in a hurry. I would have liked to have spent more time with it. RSV grace and elegance. Should continue to age quite well for the next 10 years plus+

Tasted blind: youthful but not painfully so; deep rich and spicy Vosne fruit; heady and full with a sharp note of dill in the upper register; cries out for at least another decade of aging.

Needs decanting. After a little bit of air, starts showing good fruit and earthy notes. Balanced palate with acidity in check, some spice, dark fruit and a long finish. In a good place.

(Thomas-Moillard Romanée Saint-Vivant) Medium-plus ruby red. The nose is about primary black-edged fruit and a strong spicy/cedar and mineral component - eventually you can get at a tight core of red currant/berry fruit plus a little cooked meat. The palate is still quite linear with a concentrated but mineral showing and plenty of slightly grainy but ripe tannin. Good acidity, the finish doesn't seem amazingly long, but this is a very primary showing - good if rather brawny stuff - no need to recheck for another 5 years.

limited notes. good concentration, grippy dark fruit, tannic yet clean. Lacked the perfume or finesse of the better RSVs I have tried
