  • Drinking well. Elegant, focused and very pretty. The initial impression is dominated by tar and fresh berries. The mid-palate is structured and balanced and the finish is long, with fine tannin that is supported by roses and dried fruits. Very good.

  • High toned with a hint of VA that is additive to the classic cherry and rose bouquet. Soft tannins, not very 2009 at all, quite fine.

  • DM Wine Dinner (Canary Club, New York, NY): Medium garnet in color. Pronounced nose. Developing. Red cherry, leather, menthol, tar, licorice, spices, pine nuts. On the palate, pronounced intensity, medium+ acidity, high alcohol, medium+ tannin, full bodied, long finish. Can drink now. This will continue to improve slightly, but is not far from peak. Powerful, but still very svelte Barolo. Softened a bit from the slow ox.

  • 樱桃、李子、甘草、紫罗兰、焦油和稍稍稀释过的玫瑰水香气,古朴而传统,展现了品种本质的同时没有更多的修饰,并非多层次的演绎,而是更偏复杂融合的表达。虽然拥有高酸度和丝滑的单宁,风格的呈现却并非是简单的轻盈、优雅,而是类似埃及方尖塔一样的庞大造物。其上的纹饰点缀和岁月刻痕都只是增添了其美感,却丝毫无法改变其本质——高峻、空灵,不履凡尘的决然。尽管是热年的出品,还是能感受到一份早已认清宿命、笔直奔赴目标的信念。

    有些酒适合拆解、探究、体验其过程,有些酒更适合将所有元素拼凑出完整圆满的独一图案,从整体去理解和感受它想要呈现的氛围和情绪。对我来说Bartolo属于后者,这样的酒无需费力去辨识每个细节,反而可以释然的将自己的感官交给酒来引领,享受旅程的乐趣。从这层意义上说,它并非当晚我所寻求的最爱(Cavallotto才是),但却是一段最惬意的时光。
