Day 2. Piercing sour lime aroma. Smooth flavors of tart apples, honey and apricot in the lingering finish. Some complexity, good staying power, good acid. Very dry up front moderated by a long stretch of mild sweetness in the finish. Less angular than it was on day one. Excellent.

My first Scheurebe. This is vibrant and clearly well-made, but I can't get past the grapey, slightly grassy aftertaste that I can only suspect is inherent to the grape. Perhaps it does better as a sweeter style?

{screwcap} Light straw, vibrant, with signature spritzig. Aromas of peachy baby powder, lilac and river rocks. Bone-dry palate, that offers a few layers of fruit as it warms, but this is pretty average on the complexity scale. Straightforward, and clean; exactly what it should be. Grilled sausage and mustard, where were you when I needed you? 12,5% abv, recommended, drink thru 2015

{screwcap} Delicious, and everything I'm looking for in a dry, entry-level Scheurebe. Light-medium straw color, clear. Aromas of peach, white asparagus, minerals, orange zest. Light toward medium-bodied, and dry, with a subtly layered, nearly mid-weight texture. Flavors largely follow the nose, with some apricot and kiwi as well. Rock solid offering, and one that I'll certainly re-purchase. Nothing racy here, but very pleasurable; easy but thoughtful. 12,5% abv, drink thru 2016, recommended
