“Loring Red”. Nose of allspice, plum, black olive, cola, black cherry, and teaberry. It tracks to the palate with exactness, but a touch of heat from alcohol. The wine is a bit out of balance. The fruit is quite ripe. No complexity; a very linear wine. A rather large wine. 14.9% alc. A tiny amount of sediment. With blue cheese, black olives, fennel sausage, and crusty bread. Recommended.

PnP immediately revealed a deep, rich nose of dark cherry and dirt with a cured meat aspect as well, would have mistaken it for a syrah easily. The palate is very bright and strong, with continued savory notes and a hint of sweetness and a little on the hot side. Very expressive and memorable.

Tart red cherry, cranberry, and raspberry fruit. Firm acidity with notes of red licorice, baking spice and subtle earth and cola. Nice finish.
