  • Mature color, fully ready to drink. Buttery with acacia and anise notes. Some minerality. Rich, almost unctuous. Wonderful length.
    Not a hint of oxidation. This bottle has been extremely well stored since acquisition upon release. Would not buy a bottle unless I knew the storage was of comparable quality.
    Up there with the best of the 1996 Chassagnes that avoided the cork problem.
