  • 14.0% alcohol. This is coming along beautifully in the bottle. Deep red color, no bricking at the rim of the glass. Fragrant bouquet, which has ripe black fruit, plenty of earth and tobacco, and a dash of light oak lurking in the background. In the mouth, quite rich without approaching flabbiness. Round and smooth, with terrific fruit concentration and balance. Loads of black currant and blackberry fruit, coupled with a loamy, distinctly Chilean earthiness that leads to solid acidity. Long, smooth finish with largely integrated tannins. Still youthful but drinking well now. Very beautifully done. A-

  • Clear, purple, opaque, deep intensity. Clean, light+ intensity nose. Vanilla/cedar oak notes. Cassis, raspberry, blueberry, frutto di bosco. A slight capiscum undertone, and a touch of boneyard. Violets. Dry, light+ acidity, low+ tannins, medium body, low+ intensity. Inky black fruits on the medium finish. Good.

  • Man did this start hot. The aroma was rasberrys and a good amount of alcohol. Palate was red rasberrys, a little spice, oak and alcohol. This would be nicely balanced if not for the high alcohol. The alcohol mostly overpowered the aftertaste in the begining and then eventually cleared to the oak and the berry. This was only 14% alcohol so it kind of suprised me. Too bad, because under the alcohol seemed to be a nice, balanced Cab.
