Only had a small glass. Consistent with my previous note (18 months ago) but things have definitely mellowed out a lot. Will drink my last bottle before the end of 2015. Needs sharp cheeses or rich seafood.

Drinking well, maybe a bit past its best, which is surprising for Palomar. I have not been very lucky with Rias Baixas 2011 anyway. Palomar 2011 has integrated the oak, and displays pure fruit and some minerality, but lacks a bit of punch or vibrancy. Goes very well with fish, though.

fine mineralic nose, some apricot, on the palate powerful, full-bodied with enormous elegant melting, apricot again, salty seafreshness, mineralic, appears still young, quaffable, long finish, good pairing with seafood, 88- 90+?

Touring Northern Spain; 4/17/2014-4/26/2014: (Las Redes, San Vicente de la Barquera) The oakish type of Rias Baixas: Well-structured ad nice but and needing air to open up; the following unoaked Fefiñanes was nicer.

Exotic wine. Olive brine, pickles, pears, and butterscotch. Light-bodied with silky texture.
