I guess the news of this wine's death was premature since this bottle is tasting pretty good right now !! A perfect cork after a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days. As always, this balanced wine showed more fresh fruit on the first day. As expected, on day two this wine had softened with increased depth and integrated complexity. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate and cranberry. Flavors of bing cherry, red raspberry, and black tea. This Pinot Noir has a medium finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir from Talley Vineyard in Arroyo Grande Valley of San Luis Obispo County. This age worthy wine may have more life remaining. I have three more bottles, so I will open soon to verify this review. Good fruit and a good winemaking effort.

It was an okay Pinot. Cedar hit up front but blew off quick at this age. Alcohol was high and that was noticeable at all stages. Probably jammy in the past but now manageable, enjoyable fruit. Short finish.

Dark strawberry/raspberry nose with a twinge of spice. A little acidic-- better with food. This wine did evolve over a few days. Cinnamon, a little vanilla, dark strawberry/raspberry, medium-full bodied.
