  Orphan bottle found in cellar; believe it was a gift at some point. No personal experience with this producer, and opened the bottle with low expectations. Pleasantly surprised. Deep, somewhat cloudy crimson; pink at the edges. Wonderfully fragrant, fruity, and floral nose: boysenberry jam, dried cherries, and gardenia, with pencil shavings. Not as fruity in the mouth: some dark fruit still there, and nice acidity, picking up leather notes and finishing with fine dry tannins. If only I had some serrano ham, manchego cheese, and other tapas at hand! Still evolving in the glass after 10-15 minutes. Extremely drinkable, and would happily drink more if I had it.

  Farven er dyb mørkerød.
  Duften har toner af, modne røde bær (mix af sorte brombær, mørke kirsebær/solbær), lidt sød pibetobak, lidt blyant/grafit, lidt hårdt engelsk lakrids/stjerne anis, tørt egetræsbrænde, lidt læder.
  
  Smagen er helt smooth af, moden rød frugt med lidt kant af duften.
  Tanninerne er bløde og behagelige af, sorte oliven, sort te, lidt lakrids.
  Den er ikke for gammel, masser af frugt tilbage. (duften er faktisk ret god og interessant) U filtreret= masser af bundfald.
  Den kan hurtig drikkes i store mundfulde uden besvær.
  WA 92 p (Jay Miller), 120-year-old ungrafted pre-phylloxera vines aged for 6 months in new French oak.

  Old world expression of grenache. Dark fruit, dry, modest tannins, finishes with a pucker on the tongue. Would be good with gamey meats.

  The bouquet was spicy and leather, with a lot of berry tones -but at entry I considered this to be a somewhat bland garnacha - but at this price point, the wine was pretty good.
  I think that maybe this variety for me is akin to what my dogs think of riding in the car. They think they love it, but when they are doing it, maybe not as much as they think.
