White grapefruit dominates here with a steady back beat of fig and honey. The finish broadens with white pepper ad a whiff of almond. For a white wine, the mouthfeel never disappoints with big, round almost broad on the palate. Such balance in this wine. 14.2% alc. Just like the last bottle, this presents very heavy sediment and tartrates. With assorted cheeses and crusty bread. (Date not certain.) Recommended.

The fruit on this seems to have faded somewhat since the first wine. Yet, it still swings for the fences with lemon and other citrus (tangerine?) flavors, then broadening across the palate with almond and fig flavors. A very balanced wine; everything in its place. A “big” Gruner. 14.2% alc. Heavy sediment and tartrates. With spiced shrimp, stuffed clam shells and assorted cheeses and crusty bread. Recommended.
