Deep ruby fading to a reddish rim. A very aromatic, quite appealing and classically Barossa nose offers aromas of blackberry jam, fresh blackcurrants, mint, eucalyptus, and exotic spice. Full bodied on the palate, this is rich and decadent with black fruit and eucalyptus flavors that seem to coat the mouth, but there's reasonably bright acidity and a touch of still chewy tannin that provides balance. This isn't my style but it is well done and should continue to drink well for at least four to six more years.

The bouquet displays an immensity of breadth, depth, and complexity. Black raspberries, coffee, asphalt, and tomato leaves show a hint of brine. Juicy and full bodied in the mouth, with impressive scale and structure, and excellent definition to spicy, dark fruit flavors. Picks up coffee on the interminably long and warm finish. Excellent juice.
