  Finally came back to this one almost 6 years later. Time was friendly to this bottle. I guess I'd just say it's a solid inexpensive wine. I probably won't buy more of it, but I have no regrets. Pairing with penne in an arugla and sausage broth.

  I'm having a hard time figuring this wine out. I want to like it and some tastes are enjoyable. Seems to need a lot of air for a wine that is not particular structured nor complex. Tangy acidic upon opening taste becomes more ripe with time. Still a good QPR and a nice Thursday night bottle but I'm not posting pics on my FB page.

  Popped, poured a little allowed to breathe in the bottle for a couple of hours. Smelled fruity and fresh... like grape juice not yet fermented. Sour fruit notes evoking a tangy, almost metallic mouth feel. Finished better than it started but was tough staying open minded about it that long. Not sure if it is young, a bad bottle, or just not very good. I guess its a $10 bottle so what was I hoping for... but was hoping for more.
  
  EDIT: After corking with a Vacu Vin and tasting again 2 days later, my impression is quite different. I have increased the rating from 82 to 88 based on this. The sour, metallic notes on the front-end have mellowed to a nicely acidic and flavorful, if not complex, taste. The finish which I thought would've been pleasant had the initial mouth feel not turned me off is still there and is enjoyable. Overall, this one has more promise than I first imagined. I have 5 more and will properly decant the next one to determine if that was the missing ingredient.

  The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Medium.
  It smells like Raspberry, Red Currant, Cherry, and Light toast. It tastes like Strawberry, Raspberry, Red Currant, Cherry, Plum, and Toast. The body is Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Medium.
