Nose opens with notes of dust and caramel; fairly closed otherwise, but there are subtle notes of strawberry and raspberry, and hints of smoke and spice. Palate is acid-dominant and seriously oxidised, but backed by bold flavours of red cherry, cranberry, and blackberry, finishing with hints of twigs, dried leaves, and parsley. Fades quickly. At best, it's only slightly better than the other Bass Phillip Pinot Noirs.

(Mich&Bo@LangtonsVI) Opulent dark fruits, juicy ripeness, elegant funk, great acid structure, silky, lacy, intense, yum! Rather old-world (various burg terriors merged in one??), if idiosyncratic.
