  • Wow! I think we have something here. This is really good. Never thought we would get impressed with Albarino from Paso Robles, but let the pleasure begin. To me typically Albarino has a very savory, lemon lime appeal. This one is more California, with fruit first, but if you close your eyes, and use a little imagination, you could easily place this from Spain. I know the elevation and terroir are all different, but nice job guys, whoever produced this. Has that grainy, straw like feel we get from Southwest France, and Northwest Spain. Golden yellow color. Scuppernong nose. Medium bodied with some grainy acid. Not very alcoholic. I've never tasted a wine from Paso as distinct as this. Could this be a coming trend?
