You don't often hear about Chardonnay being blended with, of all things, oak Pinot Meunier, but there was 10% added here. But what the Meunier does is add some tartness to the wine. This primarily unoaked wine (90% Chardonnay) is fresh and fruity from start to mid, but ends with a lovely delicate vanilla note. A real charmer with crisp apple, hints of melon and pear notes. The best part is the finish is pleasantly long with nice balancing acidity.
