The dark, brooding nose suggests black currants, chocolate, cedar, pepper and camphor. This wine is styled like a Bordeaux, with bold Cabernet flavors and a dusty sense of Italian earth underneath layered flavors of blackberry, cigar box, green herbs and vanilla. Universally liked.

Cabernet and Carmenere. blackberry fruit aromas. just a touch of herb and pepper to the nose. more exotic pepper and citronella than black or green pepper. yes, a very Italian offering of Cabernet, but something that I could just drink for days. shows some earthy/grass/hay/silage note on the finish. oh, so subtly. on the palate, lots of pep in its step.

delicious almost black wine. Full bodied, but still very well balanced. had with flatiron steak with chimichurri in a restaurant. Will try to find in the store. Worth stocking up on this one.

Nice wine but still tannic, needs time to open. Medium plus bodied with a bit of spice, tar and a streak of minerality and nice fruit. 90 Points.
