I've been drinking this vintage of this wine for about a year and a half now and really enjoyed how it has progressed. There's more interest to round out the early bottling fruitiness. This wine really has a bit of everything and I think can please casual drinkers to wine geeks for a reasonable price. Quite tasty!

Really benefited from decanting. Floral and bright nose, raspberry and coastal herbs as well. Walks a tightrope of balance on the palate. Rounded mid-palate, yet fresh acidity and herbs underpin the body of the wine. Finish reprises the aromas, though olive or perhaps tobacco is more prominent. There is a subtle, savory 'greenness' that adds complexity perhaps due to whole cluster fermentation. The ripeness and oak are toned back just a bit relative to the SRH norm, and this really nails it for my taste.

The nose was wonderfully perfumed with floral red berry fruit, olive, smoked meats and minerals. On the palate, it entered soft and round yet firmed up quickly to display gorgeous, focused red fruit. The finish lasted long with a distinct note of tart raspberry with a hint of savory herbs.

Ruby in color, this wine reveals black raspberry, bright cherry and anise on the nose. The mouth feel is soft and feminine with more red fruits and hints of spices. The finish is medium with soft, juicy tannins.
Purchased for $30US, this is an enjoyable offering that showed its soft side and easily kept the 14% abv under control.
