  Cork was saturated which had be worried, but no issues here. This was stunning with homemade pizza. Drank along side 2013 Saxum Booker and was great to see the contrast of Syrah between Italy and Central Coast. The Scrio was much more subtle and absolutely beautiful.

  93-94 points. No formal notes, in a flight of 5 heavy hitters, this was the wotn for me. So well made, giving a lot at this point. Cork was intact, sit the bottle upright for 12 hours prior to opening for the sediment to settle down. Open this if you have it you will not be disappointed. Not the most obvious varietal notes but as the wine opened up even more, the black pepper and spice came in.

  Not a very typical syrah, rather modern in style, probably a bit young as not fully developed in my opinion, needs a few more years or lots of air (better on day 2), a lot of sediment and cork already 60% soaked...
