Cork was in great shape. Wine was a little flat over all, but was very drinkable and continued to develop in the glass over 20 to 30 mins. Pleasant to drink, but nothing special stood out.

Waited too long on this one. Past it's peak. The nose was quite good with herbs and some floral notes. But in the mouth it was disjointed. It was a difficult vintage for Tablas where they didnt make a Esprit. i am interested to see how other vintages have developed.

EWG - 2001: A Taste Odyssey (Conrad Green's Abode): Fresh ripe fruit on the nose. Surprisingly primary. Focused palate with ripe, almost Zin-like fruit. Fresh acids and focused tannin. Nice.
