Decanted and enjoyed straight away, should have given more time possibly, but the guests were quite thirsty. Slightly offset fruit from the alcohol, and it get better after an hour, but couldn't survive more than that. 89p in this case.

A private lunch (Restaurant Dabbous *, London, UK): Hasn't moved much in the past 18 months. Marries ripe and glossy black cherry fruit and warm spices to a firm and masculine structure and a clean and violetty finish. Proper Port, well-balanced, only medium weight but with the mineral energy to last for two decades.
