Still tasting great !! At peak !! Perfect cork after over a dozen years in the bottle, easily removed. Consumed over two days and really benefitted from some air. A beautiful dark burgundy color with minor oxidation and good clarity. Aromas of black cherry, raspberries, and pomegranate. Expressive flavors of red berries, currant, and spice that includes a long to medium finish of marine soil and forest floor. This wine is named in honor of co-proprietor Jennifer Hartford and is built to age, Jennifer’s proves that not all Pinot Noirs are shy, retiring, delicate souls. Jennifer’s Pinot Noir is sourced from a vineyard in the windy and very cool Sebastopol Hills subregion of the Russian River Valley AVA. The Jennifer’s Pinot blocks are planted to the Swan and Pommard selections, and Dijon 777 on this Bloomfield Road site. This very balanced Pinot Noir was made by winemaker Jeff Mangahas who left in late 2011 to go to Williams Selyem. The vineyard manager is Walt Chavoor. The wine has aged beautifully and may have years of life remaining if properly cellared. I have no bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar.

Bing cherry any red plum fragrances that turn to strawberry rhubarb over the palate. Cola surfaces in the mild but lingering finish. Impress even the most discerning vinophile with this pour.

The fruit has really held up, surprisingly present. A rich Pinot Noir. Not as refined or elegant as i would prefer. A solid value.

Bright cherry, balanaced, good acidity, but rather tame. Not as good as the 09s IMO. Not sure if it just needs more time in bottle.
