  • Popped, poured into a decanter and served immediately. The wine was bright light- to medium ruby in in colour and offered hints of dark berries, blackberry effervescent powder, a hint of sulphur and some sort of detergent on the slightly stinky nose. On the palate the wine showed cherry, blackberry, bitter almond and sulphur, paired with medium- to medium-plus acidity, medium-level tannin and good length of the slightly bitter and dry finish. A very basic Pinot; a little thin, slightly sour and bitter, with a somewhat unpleasant taste. I am also inclined to say that sulphurisation might have gotten out of hand. Tasted worse with every sip. Avoid.
