3d bottle of what has been a disappointing wine. My bottles have consistently delivered a slightly flabby bdx blend that has stronger cab franc bell pepper notes than I care for. My first experience with this winery and likely the last. Reminscent of the underwhelming experiences with the revived Havens winery. Not recommended.

Six additional months in the cellar was just what this wine needed. Lovely; 15 minutes to open up and it is the perfect wine for dinner. Wish I had more.

It took me most of an evening to warm up to this one, so I'll probably let my remaining bottle wait a bit. This CA red blend showed the typical dark and red fruits on the nose, overlaid with green bell pepper, a hint of petrol, and a touch of smoke. On the palate it was hard to pin down (probably because of the blend), but over the 3 hours i spent with it last evening, it eventually came together nicely. Dark fruit, stewed strawberry, and fresh green herbs. Interesting and with a medium finish. Tim liked it straight away.

Good balance of blue and red fruit, a little oak and chocolate. Resolving tannins.
