Opened and drinking first glass immediately. More fruity and new world than expected but delicious. Oak, light caramel, and ripe berries on the nose. Ripe Raspberry, black cherry on the palette. soft tannins and sweet finish. I will find this wine again.

Got off to an unbalanced start with aggressive black fruit sweetness, ink, and oak, but began to redeem itself in its third hour after decanting, as the oak disappeared, acid and graphite minerals asserted themselves, and the palate mellowed out and become more red-fruited. Good.

From one of the oldest houses in Rioja, this is what Tempranillo is supposed to taste like. Earthy with bright fruit and balanced acidity, it will pair beautifully with a wide range of Spanish cuisine. Very well made and perfectly balanced.
