  • Still tasting great !! I agree with my past tasting note of just over 4 months ago !!
Dry cork broke, but removed with the Durand without too much drama. Consumed over two days. This is a deliciously balanced Pinot Noir was deep ruby in color with modest oxidation and medium clarity. Aging gracefully, I still have one bottle of this vintage year remaining in my cellar.

  • This wine is still tasting really good right now !!
The cork was perfect and easily removed after over a decade in the bottle. This is a balanced Pinot Noir that I consumed over seven hours. Deep ruby color with modest oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of cranberry and pomegranate with bright flavors of sweet cranberry, cherry, and rhubarb with a pleasant medium finish. Good fruit source from a 20-acre vineyard planted to Dijon clones 115, 667 and 777 overlooking the town of Sebastopol in the Russian River Valley appellation of Sonoma County. This special Pinot Noir is an age worthy wine and has more years of life left. I still have two more bottle of this vintage remaining; I may open one in the next few months or so to verify my rating.

  • PNP then consumed over 3 hours. Red fruits in a very high register: cranberry; pomegranate; rhubarb. The acid is conspicuous so this bottle is probably better with food. Just not the flavor or structural profile that appeals to me.

  • Cola, black cherry and slight dustiness on the nose. Flavors continue to the palate. A bit more ripeness than expected and was a bit hot at 14.7% though that faded as it sat for a while.
